SINUS LIFT
Sinus lift surgery, or sinus augmentation, adds bone between the upper jaw and maxillary sinuses to facilitate dental implant placement. Commonly performed by our IMPLANT TEAM, it addresses bone deficiency or sinus proximity issues for successful implantation.
About SINUS LIFT
Enhancing Jaw Bone for Dental Implants
At Nirmal Super Specialty Dental Hospital, our skilled IMPLANT TEAM performs sinus lift surgeries to address insufficient bone in the upper jaw, a common hurdle for dental implant placement. This procedure, also known as sinus augmentation, involves adding bone between the jaw and maxillary sinuses to create a suitable foundation for implants. Factors such as tooth loss, bone resorption, proximity of sinuses to the jaw, and periodontal disease contribute to the need for sinus lifts.
Revitalize Your Smile with Expert Sinus Lift Surgeries
At Nirmal Super Specialty Dental Hospital, our skilled IMPLANT TEAM performs sinus lift surgeries to address inadequate bone in the upper jaw, a common obstacle for dental implant placement. This procedure, also known as sinus augmentation, involves adding bone between the jaw and maxillary sinuses to create a suitable foundation for implants.
Sinus lifts are essential when there’s insufficient bone in the upper jaw or when the sinuses encroach too closely upon the jaw, hindering implant placement. Factors such as tooth loss, bone resorption, and anatomical variations can contribute to this condition, making sinus lift surgery necessary for successful implantation. Trust Nirmal Super Specialty Dental Hospital for expert care in restoring your dental health and functionality.
The Procedure
During a sinus lift procedure at Nirmal Super Specialty Dental Hospital, the oral surgeon raises gum tissue near molars and premolars, creating a small window in the bone to access the sinus membrane. Bone graft material is placed to augment bone. Implants are placed after four to nine months for optimal integration.
The Osteotome Indirect Sinus Lift Technique
Nirmal Super Specialty Dental Hospital offers the less invasive osteotome technique for sinus augmentation when lifting the sinus floor less than 4 mm. This method involves creating a socket in the bone near the sinus membrane, tapping the sinus floor with osteotomes. Dental implants are then placed, promoting bone growth for implant support.
